Next Meeting: Monday 15th March.

Next Book: 'Reading Lolita in Tehran'

Love reading want to indulge your love for the written word while enriching your social life by meeting possible kindred spirits who share your interests?

The Global Footsteps Book Group is open to everyone and meetings will take place once a month, usually on a Thursday night.  The fifth meeting is scheduled for Monday 15th March at 6.30pm. It will meet at ‘FootSteps’ cafe located at 16 Portland Street in central Cheltenham. The venue is a WiFi cafe and community hub selling a range of local and fair-trade food and crafts from around the Global Footsteps network.

At the fourth meeting we reflected on The Five people you meet in Heaven which we all agreed was 'short and sweet!'. The next book is a bit different, it explores life in Iran 'Reading Lolita in Tehran' by Azar Nafisi. Grab yourself a copy on Amazon for £0.01 (plus P&P)!

At each meeting we discuss different aspects of the book including; plot; storylines; characterization; style; prose; authors; and themes, and will take it in turns to suggest the next book.  We always welcome new members so please feel free to join in!
