Press Release: FootSteps CafeThe following Press Release went out at the opening of the cafe in November 2009: A new WiFi cafe and shop with a difference opened in Cheltenham in November. The FootSteps shop and cafe is part of the Global Footsteps charity, located at 16 Portland Street, and offers a unique and friendly atmosphere, and the chance to buy fair trade gifts, fairtrade and laregely locally sourced food and drinks, and recylced products. The refitting has been partially funded by a 'Community Pride' grant from Cheltenham Borough Council, and the new-look cafe is now the perfect polace to relax with friends or to just settle down with a hot drink, a snack and a good book. With free WiFi and internet access for all customers, it is also a great place to sit and quietly get on with some work, study or art. The first cup of fair trade cappuccino was served on Tuesday 3 November. All proceeds go towards the work of the charity. Current opening hours are 10am-5.30pm, Tuesday - Saturday.
